Tahune Forest AirWalk

“Walk among the giants of the forest...
Experience the power of nature at the AirWalk! There’s always something new at Tasmania’s must-see forest experience.  With breathtaking views of the forest canopy, spine-tingling swinging bridges across the Huon and Picton Rivers and Tasmanian food and wine in the café, there’s a full day of fun for the whole family.” – AdventureForests Tasmania

The Arve Road is the main road from Geeveston to Tahune AirWalk. It is sealed, but there are small patches of gravel where the road is being repaired, so drive cautiously. The road follows the Arve River Valley and this drive is one of the easiest ways to experience the Southern Forests.

Geeveston to Tahune         - 28km (30 mins)

Expect to see the tallest flowering trees in the world, the Eucalypts regnans. Bear in mind that you won’t be seeing them from below but rather from above via the AirWalk bridges. You can also maximise the great Huon River through the Swinging Bridges walk as part of your itinerary.

After dark, you have the option to stay overnight at the AirWalk Lodge. The Lodge offers a total of eight rooms, which can accommodate up to 23 guests. For the thrill seekers there is one attraction that you shouldn’t miss, Eagle Glide Hang Gliding adventure an exciting way to experience the Tahune Forest Reserve. Other adventures include, the new six-kilometre mountain bike track around the Tahune AirWalk, Segway Tours, Huon Pine Walk and Huon Track.
